Agape Families, Inc. is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) organization that was founded in the greater Indianapolis area in early 2006. Our mission is to transform the troubled lives of abused and neglected children by showing them unconditional love in a safe and nurturing home, using the gifts and talents of the community. Specifically, we respond in a meaningful way to the plight of foster children in Indianapolis and surrounding communities.
There are three main facets of Agape Families. We support a family home to care for up to eight children, focusing primarily on siblings. Secondly, Kingdom’s Kloset provides immediate basic needs in terms of clothing and sundries for children placed in foster care. Finally, we mobilize gifted and motivated people from around the community to volunteer in a day-to-day, tangible way.
Now in our third year of operation, we've given clothing bundles to over 1,400 foster children; provided full-time care for 22 children, including eight groups of siblings; and involved over 200 volunteers in the greater Indianapolis area.
We pray each precious child is touched with a caring heart, knowing God’s love travels with him or her throughout life's journeys.
We Pray for...
...wisdom and continued divine guidance to fulfill His mission.
...children in a safe place, like the Agape House, where a happy picture of childhood is developed and nurtured.
...compassionate and talented volunteers coming together with a shared vision.
